Tabrizian lab has pioneered characterization of lattice anharmonicty in semiconductors and piezoelectric films, and exploited such anharmonicities for realization of nonlinear signal processors. Such processors can potentially extend the operation of wireless systems to cm- and mm-waves to expand the communication capacity for emerging 5G / IoT applications.
